File FIR for cow protection crimes: Govt to states

Zakir Naik’s passport revoked, he’s now stateless
The government has revoked the passport of fugitive Islamic preacher Zakir Naik following a recommendation from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) which has already booked him under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for his terror links. The revocation of the passport by the regional passport office in Mumbai makes Zakir Naik a stateless person.

As Pak rains shells, 217 kids trapped in schools
At least 217 students and 15 teachers trapped in three schools close to the LoC during a deadly rain of mortar shells from Pakistan were rescued on Tuesday in a daring operation conducted by police and the district administration. One of the school buildings in the Nowshera sector took direct hits but there were no casualties.
